Scholarships

The Deb Wheatley-Field Scholarship was established to honor the extraordinary career and service of Deb Wheatley-Field, whose more than 30 years of leadership and dedication significantly shaped the municipal finance profession in Iowa.

GFOA partners with state associations to award their members two annual Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO) enrollment scholarships per year. The GFOA LGBTQIA+ and WPFN affinity groups also award five per year.

The GFOA Leadership Development Scholarship (GLDS) program is available to assist working professionals with funding to advance their careers in public finance. Current members of GFOA (excluding student, associate, and international members) are eligible to apply for a scholarship that they can apply to their costs for GFOA's Leadership Academy.
